Why we exist
We believe access is a civil right, and that a website, a form or a PDF should never be the reason someone cannot get a service, a job, an education or an answer. Access for Everyone (AX4E.org) is the mission. AX4E.com is where that mission becomes practical work.
Who we are
We are a Midwest-based team with a national reach: people with backgrounds in digital marketing, communications, education, government and technology, who have spent years building and maintaining the kinds of websites and documents organizations actually run on. We are hands-on. When you request an assessment, a person on our team looks at your site and documents and writes back to you.
How we work
- Automation to find, people to judge. We use scanners and AI to move fast, and people to make the calls automation cannot.
- Fix at the source. We focus on templates, components and content habits, so fixes last.
- Test with assistive technology. Keyboard, screen reader and zoom testing are part of our process, not an add-on.
- Plain language. We explain what is wrong and why it matters without jargon or fear.
- Honest about tools. We offer an accessibility toolbar and we say plainly that it is an enhancement, not a compliance product.
What we do
- Free assessments and website scans
- Manual accessibility audits and remediation plans
- PDF and document remediation
- Remediation support for websites and templates
- Accessibility statements and conformance documentation
- Training for content creators and web teams
Who we serve
Businesses, schools, colleges, municipalities, health organizations and nonprofits. We size the work to the organization, so a small business or a school district does not have to buy an enterprise program to get started.
What we hold ourselves to
We work to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Level AA and, for PDFs, PDF/UA. We do not promise instant compliance, lawsuit-proofing or guaranteed outcomes, because no honest provider can. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Justice or any government agency. Our guides follow published editorial standards.
